Happy Birthday to my man! DECEMBER 28TH

KC is such a blessing in my life! His birthday always gets jumbled in with Christmas and new years, but I hope he knows he is kind of a big deal :) He turned 30 this year!!!  I am so thankful for him and love him so much (as he knows, because I say it WAY too much) He just makes my life so easy and wonderful! Smith is obsessed with him and wont even look at me when daddy is in the room. I love the bond they share, and the friendship that I see developing between them every day.

Thanks hubby for being you!

GOING...GOING...GONE!

I know everyone says you cant get excited when you get an offer on your house. "So many things could go wrong and it might not end up working out" but I am just going to be excited, and optimistic about the fact that we had our house for sale for less than a month and received 2 offers this week!  After we got the first offer we went to the temple just to make sure we were doing the right thing, and after leaving the temple we both felt really good about everything. It was then that we got the second interested buyer and within 24 hours a second offer. We counter-offered on the first one, and it was accepted! We are moving out in about 4 weeks (we are still trying to decide where to stay until we find a home, but we have several great options to look into) and we are really excited to see where life takes us. This really was proof to us that prayers are answered and that we are supposed to be doing this! I wont go into all the boring details about how perfect this all worked out, not only for us, but for both the buyer and his agent, but I will say that when you trust in the Lord things work out for your good (again, who knows if "for our good" means this will all fall through and we will end up staying here, but regardless, we are learning that we can trust in the power of prayer to be guided!)

Its official

After going back and forth trying to decide if we really want to do this, we have finally decided to put our house up for sale. We LOVE our house, and this area, but its just time... we need to get into a home and there is no better time than now for us.

so for those of you who are looking for an amazing townhome... here it is!

3 bedroom, 2.5 bath vaulted ceilings (which makes it feel huge) end unit, upgrades galore, and the best neighbors(and ward) in the world.

its peanut butter jelly time...

why the turtle costume? I know some of you were looking forward to seeing Smith's peanut butter and jelly sandwich costume, but Im sorry to say mom and dad were WAY too focused on their costumes to work on his costume and then ' throw something comfortable and cute together fast enough for him. We also LOVED this turtle costume way too much to not have him wear it. (my sister made it a few years ago, and I think its the cutest darn thing) so needless to say, our peanut butter and jelly idea (allthough it was a good one) did not pan out this year. You have to admit our costumes turned out pretty dang cool for being home made!

so HAPPY HALLOWEEN anyway!

St. George

Smith and I are in St. George since last friday, and will be staying until Sunday, which is officially the longest either of us have been without seeing KC. Smith loves hangin with his cousins and has learned a lot from watching his cousin Audrey crawl and eat. He is now getting better at both of them. Of course coming to St. George has its consequences. We are yet to come home from this place without bringing a COLD along with us. It started last night.

Runny nose=nose wipe=

chasing shadows

Smith loves to play with shadows. He thinks he can grab them and gets frustrated when all he grabs is air...

a REAL good time

Smith got all bundled up last week to attend his first Real Salt Lake Soccer game. It was opening night at the new stadium (which is amazing my the way). We kept him up a few hours past his bedtime, and he was still a delight (until the crowd cheered at the first goal)...He even shook his noise maker like everyone else.

more pictures for grandma to enjoy!

Smith is so wonderful lately. He has changed and grown so much this month it is amazing. He has learned to wave hello and bye, and even tries to say HI in the same tone as I do. I melt every time he does it. He also tries to pull up on anything he can, and then he just turns around as if he can simply start walking and always lands on his face. He has learned to fake cry (which I cant help but laugh and want to pull my hair out at the same time) and he has an obsession with dogs licking him right in the face. I just cant get enough of this little kid. I cant believe he is 6 months already!

welcome to my crib...

Do we like blue?

I bought a blue and pink backdrop to mix things up in the studio a bit. Smith acted as my "model as I tested out the blue. What do you think? Are colored backdrops good, or weird?

washing windows

Smith enjoyed watching dad while he washed the windows on Saturday. We had been playing outside and he cried when I tried to bring him inside (I didnt want him to get wet) so he was happy again when I set him right next to the sliding door and he could watch the water hit the windows. It was so cute to watch his face as the water sprayed toward him.
