This year we had the opportunity to go to Boston to cheer on KC as he ran the Boston Marathon. He also happens to be a HUGE red sox fan so of course we had to fit a game into our trip. It was FREEZING cold that day but it did not stop these die hard fans!
(Smith cracks me up in this picture)
Miles slept a large portion of the game under a tarp blanket
On Sunday we headed to church, and then made a stop at the coastline on the way back to see the most incredible stormy crashing waves I have ever seen! We were blown away (almost literally)
right as I took this picture a huge wave came and hit them in the back. It was too funny a picture not to post. :)
Monday we took a walk through the city and headed over to the Boston Marathon finish line KC ran the race in 3:23:59! As we stood near the finish (it was impossible to get very close at all actually) I was amazed by the cheering crowds. It was so neat to be there for this big moment in KCs life. I am sure he will remember it forever! I am so proud of him for this!!
(dont you love that the 4 is backwards? I have to give him credit, he wrote on his legs himself and that couldnt be an easy task)
It was the best weather we had all week! Race day was gorgeous!
We spent the rest of the week seeing as much of Boston as we could
(Miles happily waited as dad figured out where the heck we were on the GPS)
The Aquarium
Pure cuteness!
OK... my kids are so handsome! This picture just melted me!!
We went back to Fenway park for an official tour
And on the last day we headed to the coast again
It was a great trip (a little insane with two toddlers) but I am glad we were there to support KC and experience Boston. It will be fun to go back one day when the kids are older and do some of the tours.
