My inspiration
Ive been baby hungry since the day I got married, but it really kicked in one sunday when KC and I were sitting alone on a huge bench in Sacrament meeting and I could see all the cute families around me. Then Danielle and Blake walked in and sat next to us with their sleeping little red headed Henry in Danielle's arms. The next thing I knew I was tearing up! I couldnt stop crying the whole rest of sacrament meeting!! I knew we HAD to get pregnant soon. I was able to do some family pictures of this cute little family that inspired my insane cravings for a baby!!! Heres my inspiration!

Boys

I keep wanting to post pictures, but other than pictures of random people I dont have anything new... except my nephews who deserve an entire blog entry dedicated just to them because they are the cutest boys in the WORLD! KC and I went to st. George for a visit, and of course I made them be my little models. I have 5 nephews and 3 neices, and of course 3 nephews and a neice on the way. I am going to have so much fun taking pictures of all of them!!

Random thoughts...
Everytime I read my update entry it makes me want to eat another peanut butter and jelly sandwich! My poor baby will be born a peanut!
... my camera is busted! Something is wrong with the shutter...crappy! I have been able to get by with it (barely) but I have to find a two to three week period where I have no shoots scheduled so I can send it in to be fixed. Nothin like spending your life savings on a camera that breaks a year later!!!
...Last night we had a baby shower for my best friend Amanda. Out of the 9 girls there, SIX of them were pregnant! (and one had just barely had a baby) Is everyone in the world pregnant right now?
...So today I realized that I really am obsessed with Dr. Laura. Anyone who reads this blog and does not listen to Dr. Laura you are seriously missing out. She is on AM radio 570 between 1:00 and 4:00 and she gives the most amazing advice! I have also read two of her books, and cant get enough... I also just love listening to her rip on people for their stupidity... arent I mean???

WOW! Its been forever since my last blog... ha ha. My foot is better! You wouldnt believe how fast it healed after the Doctor took care of it and gave me the antibiotic. THANKS MODERN MEDICINE!
updates... updates... well, my tummy is growing, I am now in my 2nd trimester (yay) and I am now the only girl in my family that doesnt know what she is having yet... So far, we have 1 girl, and 2 boys to be added to the Jewkes family (by Hillary, Sadie, and Hailey) and a boy to be added to the Stayner family (by Janalynne) We still have no idea what to expect :)
I have officially decided I have to force myself to write up a menu every week so that I will make dinner for KC. My appetite is still not there and poor KC is the victim. He has been such a great support to me and deserves at least a couple home cooked meals a week I think :)
My craving lately is crunchy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and milk. I have had one almost every day for the past 2 weeks! I have been keeping really busy at the day care in the AM and doing lots of photography in the PM. Its nice to stay busy and not think about the long 5 or so months ahead...
be sure to cast your vote for what you think we are having!!!

HOLY FOOT!
Soooooo, I have a hole in my foot an inch deep! We were at KC's soccer game and as we were leaving the field I stepped on a long rusty stake (the kind they use to stake down the soccer net) its about the width of a nail... I was just walking along and I felt a little stab. something had gotten caught between my flipflop and my foot, I sort of tripped and jabbed it right smack dab in the middle of my arch. I fell to the ground thinking I just needed to pull out a sticker or something but when I saw it I realized it was a stake! I tried to pull on it but it didnt budge cause I was too in shock so KC had to pull it out of my foot with a quick motion and it was way far in!!! He said "it just kept coming and coming" ha ha. It was nasty. We called the insta-care and they said just to soak it and bandage it, and I would be fine, no need to go to the emergency room cause Im up to date on my tetnus shots... so we cleaned it up and went home. Needless to say I didnt sleep AT ALL that night cause my foot was throbbing so bad, so I called my Baby doctor/family doctor and he said to hurry in. The infection was so bad my whole foot was hot and really really sore. (I cant walk at all) They did some baby safe x-rays and nothing hit the bone, so that was good news. I just have to use crutches for a day or so and wait for the nasty infection to go away. He had to inject my foot with numbing stuff and go in with tweezers and open the hole and clean it up. It went in so deep that he even pulled out a little piece of fat out of my foot!!! It was like a mini liposuction operation :) I hope our insurance covers foot liposuction... ha ha...
anyway, Im on a "baby safe" antibiotic, and just waiting for my foot to stop throbbing so I can walk again. I even had a wedding I was supposed to shoot all day today, and make the big bucks... I had to call a backup photographer and miss out. So much for spoiling our baby with lots of baby stuff! At least I found someone to do the job. It was a crazy night. I would post a picture but it really looks like the tiniest cut ever. I wouldnt want to look like a wuss...

A little plug for the fam....
My parents are in Scotland right now checking out the golfcourse that sand hollow was designed after. Since thats the only exciting thing going on right now I thought I would put in a little plug for Sand Hollow on the blog. Its progressing beautifully! I cant believe how much it has changed since KC and I last visited! For info and pics about Sand Hollow check out www.sandhollowresort.com This is a pretty cool picture my brother (or sister in law... not sure) took of the golf course...

ALASKA
I hope our baby likes fish! We brought home 100 lbs of salmon!! It was a fun trip! We fished every day like crazy and the weather was perfect! We werent able to see any bear or moose except from the airplane, but I was too busy puking my brains out in the little plastic doggy bag to take any pictures of them...
The boys played a game of football one night at 10:30 pm and I didnt even have to use my flash! Alaska is incredible :)

I made it out alive... barely...
Girls camp was such an adventure. I had a bad cold and it turned into a sinus infection, and I experienced my first taste of morning sickness on top of it all! But I stayed the whole week, and LOVED it! I can't even begin to explain how much I love each girl, and having this calling has really helped me to grow in ways I never expected. Our theme was missionary work. Each girl was assigned a country and a companion. I was the "Zone Leader" over Mexico (the Laurels). We gave ourselves mexistaches and nice accents and we had so much fun! Im trying to soak it in, because rumor has it our ward will be split soon and I will probably not be in a ward with hardley any of these girls. I couldnt ask for a better calling, and better girls!!!

Grandma Freddie blew our cover...
so, for those of you who read the blog often you might have noticed a suspicious comment made by my mom... We were going to wait a few weeks to get out and tell the world, but after spending some time with our friends it became a little too obvious to hold back any longer... I mean, what girl has to pee every 5 min, and suddenly has no desire what-so-ever to eat foods that we all know she used to love??? A PREGNANT ONE! Yes, we hadnt even hit our 1 year when we found out, but its great news and we are both soooo excited to have a little carpet stayner running around. NO we arent going to choose the name carpet, although it has been suggested by many... we might lean towards something like: rug, or bed... too bad blanket was taken already by Michael Jackson.
For those of you who want to track the months, We are due March 7th 2008 :)
below are pictures from when we told our parents the news...

White Trash Weekend
White Trash weekend happend to fall on our anniversary! Great way to begin our second year together. We stayed in the Carriage room at anniversary inn, and then spent some time with Grimmy and friends at Benson Lake. Then of course as the night began, we went to the demolition derby and... KC did it again! They cancelled the dance contest this year, but that didnt stop KC from making his way to center stage... Him and Rafe RAN... yes RAN, the ATV rodeo barrels. It took some pleading to the staff, but with our section cheering them on, they just couldnt say no. Here are some highlights from our weekend.

HAPPY 1 YEAR!!!
I can't believe our 1 year anniversary is here! It seems like just yesterday KC was jumping out of a cake with a ring in his hand, and yet at the same time, I feel like we have been together forever! If there is such a thing as a soul mate, KC is truly mine! I couldnt ask for a better friend, and companion for eternity! When I think about our dating history and how everything just "fell into place" I know that we were meant to be together. This first year has been so amazing! We have done so many fun things together! I cant wait to see what the next year holds for us! I LOVE YOU CUTE HUSBAND!!!

We haven't been on South Park yet, but these two look like they could become regulars on the show should they need a replacement next time Kenny dies :) There's KC the half blind Mormon boy that moved in next door, or the Red Headed Ginger "Day-Walker"girl that likes ice cream and photogrpahy.Check out this site for hours of entertainment for any South Park fan: http://www.sp-studio.de/
