After a long break from photography I have finally set up my studio in the new house. Today I did a shoot of my friend Lindsey's little twins (which was so fun by the way) but I wasn't too satisfied with the way my lighting was set up so I did a little mini shoot of Smith afterwards to get things just right before my shoots tomorrow. Here is a little taste of what came out of it all:

ok, so this really isnt Smith, but I thought I would give you all a little swine flu scare! :)

Mexico

We sure picked a great week to go to mexico! Although the Swine flu drama scared us a little bit, we managed to have a ton of fun in Cabo. Smith's spider man outfit was a hit with the entire resort. Everyone loved him
He LOVED the beach, and could have stayed out there all day just digging in the sand
He also loved spending quality time with his best buddy
Jameson and Samantha had so much fun feeding the birds. I thought the birds might even try to eat them!

ignore the huge prego whale in this picture. Why am I always pregnant on exotic beach trips? oh... probably because I have been pregnant almost half our marriage :)
Smith got a FREE ride on the horse. He was thrilled. I was freaked out when the guy just started walking away and smith held on all by himself


Smith took 3 hour naps every day! That is totally unheard of at home, but the fun and sun wore him out and gave mom a nice break :)

appropriate blog header

Ever since General Conference, the quote on my blog header keeps popping into my mind. I cant begin to explain how appropriate it was for me to change my blog title to that quote just a week ago. Even though this week has proven to be a tough one, and the future is looking a bit different now for us, it really is so true that the future is as bright as your faith. Lately I have been looking at things a little different. I have been remembering what matters most.  I really have come to appreciate the important things in life like family, and the gospel. Aside from those things, what really matters? In a world where money is made out to be the only thing that can keep the world moving, family and relationships are set aside for personal gain, and God has become a myth (and a cuss word) instead of a living, loving Father in Heaven whom we rely on and trust, we sometimes forget the importance of FAITH. Faith changes our perspective on everything and helps us overcome fear. its a beautiful thing!!

Takes me back...

This look takes me back to my elementary school days... those of you who knew me then should see why. Wearing these glasses made Smith's whole day... and yes he learned how to pick his nose this week. He totally thought he was cool

HAPPY EASTER!

Check out my handsome lil man in his buttered toast easter tie. We had such a fun easter. Grandma Laura came out last week and brought easter gifts and today we had a hunt with Grandpa Craig. It was so fun to celebrate easter sunday in our new ward and finally meet some people :) apparently the houses in our neighborhood are considered the "easter egg houses" so it felt appropriate today letting people know we live in one of the easter egg houses on Shady Hollow.

I really love my boys. I cant get enough of Smith in this hat, and I love watching the two of them bond (even if it means Smith is feeding dad instead of dad feeding Smith). I think they are the cutest pair, and that KC is the best, most hard working, and dedicated dad. He has done so much for us lately and we are so proud of him and thankful for him.  I also can't wait to add another boy to this bunch. Keep em comin! I cant get enough!!
